A boot camp for women angel investors
In an eye-opening white paper last spring, venture capitalist Cindy Padnos concluded we need more women investing in early-stage companies.
Natalia Oberti Noguera decided to do something about it.
She is in the process of launching Pipeline Fund Fellowship, a new program for women who want to learn the ins and outs of angel investing (giving cash to a fledgling company in exchange for an equity stake).
I’ve gotten to know Natalia virtually over the past few months, and we spent a bit more time together in the last few weeks.
Natalia has h-u-s-t-l-e — believe me when I say that grass does not grow under her feet. Or, under her thumbs on the Blackberry as she makes valuable introductions left, right and center.
And she’s pulled together a who’s who of venture capitalists and star angel investors to coach the participants in the Pipeline Fund, such as Brad Feld and Esther Dyson.
If you’re a woman interested in learning how to angel invest, you’ll want to get in touch with Natalia. You can follow her at @nakisnakis.
